Dispatched when an untended brush pile ignited a nearby home. Used over 1,000 gallons to extinguish it.

Sharps Chapel Volunteer FD, TN

Dispatched to a Mvc over Embankment that hit tree. An infant was left in the vehicle and accidentally pulled it out of gear. The infant was actually transported by the parents.

Apalachiocola VFD, FL

Approximately 0315am Apalach Fire was dispatched to a woods fire close to Lombardi’s Seafood. No injuries, trucks #2 & #3 rolled on scene. With the wind blowing like it was we were on scene almost 2 hours. Forestry was called in.

Apalachicola & Eastpoint VFD, FL

Approximately 2:18am Apalach Fire, 1st responders and Eastpoint Fire were dispatched West of Apalach on hwy 98 reference to a mva rollover no fatalities one person was taken to the hospital.

Athens-Clarke County, GA

Just after 6:00 AM, our department was dispatched to a structure fire on Southwell Road (off of Hull Road). The call was made by a passerby that saw visible flames from a distance. On arrival at the scene, our firefighters reported that the house was fully involved.
Due to the extent of the fire, firefighters attacked it from the exterior of the house. After the fire was extinguished, it was determined that the house is structurally unstable, so we are still at the initial phases of our investigation. The home was reportedly vacant, and no known injuries have been reported.

Double Churches VFD, Bold Springs, Franklin County, Madison County, GA

We responded to a reported problem with a propane tank at a home. Upon arrival, the situation escalated into an emergency swift water rescue of three people clinging to trees in water approximately 6 foot deep. This was a particularly dangerous situation. Thankfully, all three were rescued without injury. Later, a fourth person was evacuated from the home, along with four dogs and 5 cats. Bold Springs Rescue, Franklin County EMS, Franklin County 911 dispatchers and the Madison County Swift Water Rescue Team were instrumental in assisting us with making this operation successful. We are fortunate to have a team of such dedicated men and women who are always there to help.

Escambia County, FL

At 8:17pm, Escambia County Fire Rescue units E16, E17, E11, L12, SQ3, E1, BC3, and BC2 responded to a structure fire residential at the block of Padgett Ct.
Upon arrival, the home was engulfed in flames and smoke. ECFR units brought the fire under control at 8:56pm. No injuries or fatalities. The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Eastpoint, Apalachicola and St. George Island, FL

Eastpoint Volunteer Fire DepartmentApalachicola Fire Department, and St. George Island Volunteer Fire-Rescue and First Responders

responded to this structure fire. Units had to deal with high winds and exposures on two sides. All units operated offensively and moved to a defensive posture as conditions deteriorated and structural integrity became a concern.

Oglethorpe County, GA

Fire and Rescue units from Beaverdam VFD and Pleasant Hill VFD responded to a roll-over vehicle accident with entrapment this morning on Collier Church Rd. Fire and Rescue Units worked with Oglethorpe EMS and the Sheriff’s Office to shut down the road and to safely extricate a single patient who was entrapped in the vehicle.

East Berrien FD, GA

East Berrien and Nashville FDs responded to a storage building on fire. Great team work!

Dekalb County, GA

“Units were dispatched to the report of a structure fire at 5449 Memorial Dr at Minas Kitchen. E23 arrived on scene to find a 1 story commercial strip mall with water flow and light smoke showing. E23 declares a working incident, asked the next in Engine to bring a positive water supply, and began working on gaining entry to the structure. TK23 laddered the A side of the building and Q24 took the B/C corner. BN5 arrived on scene and assumed command. TK23 went to the roof to investigate and HR24 forced a door to gain access to the C side of the structure. SQ24 completed a primary. One 1 7/8” Combat Ready attack line was stretched interior for fire attack. E11 obtained a positive water supply and E 3 assisted with interior operations. Once inside crews found a small fire in the rear of the structure and obtained a quick knock down. The quick actions of all crews on scene led to a quick knock down on the fire, minimal damage to o the property and prevented extension to three neighboring businesses.” Reported by: Derek Bowling

Gwinnett County, GA House FIre

Dekalb County, GA – 2 working structure fires

It was a busy morning for DeKalb County Fire Rescue. Two working structure fires took place within less than an hour of each other. At 12 a.m., units responded to a working hotel fire at 4200 Wesley Club Dr. Units arrived on the scene to smoke showing from the roof of the three-story structure. A second alarm was called due to the amount of people that needed to be evacuated. The fire was located and was running a pipe chase from the first floor to the roof. No injuries were reported at the scene. The fire is under investigation. Then at 1 a.m., a business fire was dispatched to 6287 Memorial Dr. with reports of an entrapment. Units arrived on the scene to smoke showing from a first story window. While stretching attack-lines the flames broke through the window. Crews were able to quickly knock down the flames. Thankfully no one was trapped inside.

Gwinnett County, GA Train Derailment

Gwinnett County public safety agencies stayed busy throughout the night as outer bands from Hurricane Delta made their way through the Metro Atlanta area. Following the heavy rains, a CSX train derailed and caught fire causing a hazmat situation with evacuations of the immediate area. Two CSX employees were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The incident has been turned over to CSX and firefighters continue to assist when needed.

Habersham Emergency Services, LACI, Demorest and Baldwin Fire on scene Heads Ferry Rd. residential fire, large two story home fully involved.

Dekalb County, GA responds to house fire

Units responded to a house fire at the corner of Stone Mt. Lithonia and Rockrbridge. Once on the scene, SQ13 arrived to a well involved house fire. Company 13 and E11 made entry to initiate the fire attack while HR24 completed a primary search. Q24 handled ventilation and E25 water supply. Conditions worsened forcing crews out of the structure. Lines were used from the outside to darken the flames. Crews made entry again and knocked down the rest of the fire. No injuries reported.

Cobb County, GA responds to structure fire

Rescue 30, Engine 7, Engine 30, Battalion 1, Engine 2, Truck 22, Battalion 2, Truck 4, Air 30, Engine 4, Squad 4 and @smyrnafiredepartment are on scene of a residential structure fire on the 2800 Block of Old Concord Rd.

Cobb County responds to house fire

Engines 10, 7, 22, 1, 30, Truck 4, Rescue 30, Squad 4, Air 12, Battalions 1 & 5 responded to a residential house fire on the 3900 block of Green Forest Pkwy SE. Initial units were able to extinguish the car fire in the carport. Crews worked to extinguish the fire that extended into the attic. The homeowner was able to escape uninjured.

Apalachicola, FL

Approximately 1143 am Apalach 1st responders were paged out to a single car accident on the causeway between Apalach and Eastpoint. The vehicle wound up in the water and marsh grass. This happen during a heavy rain storm. The driver had minor injuries was checked out and release from hospital.

South Jackson VFD responds to mobile home fire

At approximately 11:55am yesterday Firefighters from South Jackson, Nicholson, Arcade, JCCI, and Jackson County EMS responded to a report of a structure fire at 1944 Oak Grove Road Athens. First arriving units found a double wide mobile home approximately 50% involved. There were no injuries reported and the home was a total loss. (Photos courtesy of Melanie Kloss Reed).

Dekalb County House Fire

Units responded to a house fire on Leland Ct. The call was reported by and early morning jogger. Once Engine 5 arrived on the scene, they saw a home that was under renovation, heavily involved with smoke and flames. Crews went defensive and used the first line to protect exposures on the right side of the home. Tk23’s ladder pipe was used to bring the fire under control. E11 completed the primary search. Gwinnett County apartment fire

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire at The Corners at 1700 Apartments in Peachtree Corners. Crews had smoke and flames coming from a second floor balcony on arrival. No injuries were reported.

Dekalb County responds to salvage yard fire

E14 responded to several cars on fire at a salvage yard on Covington HW. No injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Apalachicola responds structure fire

Approximately 4:10am, Apalach fire was dispatched to a structure fire. No injuries.

Cobb County extricates patient from mangled vehicle

Company 16, Battalion 3, Truck 8, and Marietta Company 56 extricated a patient from this mangled vehicle which exited the roadway hit trees and brush before coming to a stop. They arrived on scene, removed doors, the roof, stabilized the patient in 11 minutes. Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service transported the patient to the nearest trauma center. Outstanding collaborative work by all agencies exceeding the golden hour trauma standard!

Apalachicola responds to shrimp boat fire

Apalachicola Fire was dispatched to a shrimp boat on fire. They had all 3 trucks, used 25 gallons of foam, had 350 ft of fire hose, and 900 ft of supply lines out. They had to improvise using a barge run fire hose across river to the boat, just getting home four hours later. No injuries.

Apalachicola and Eastpoint FD respond to head-on collision

Barrow County Emergency Services responded to this intense, well involved attic fire. With temperature soaring into the high 90s, it was difficult on fire personnel however they made an excellent stop on this fire. Congratulations for a job well done to our crews involved.

Lawrenceville GA builders supply business fire required 3 alarms to bring this blaze under control with more than 55 firefighters on scene. Several ladder companies were utilized to contain the blaze from jumping to nearby structures. Three water sources were needed for fire flow and ladder operations on this incident.
